John, Johnathan, and Nora are awesome people who have made my experience with upgrading my full surround sound system, 2 12 inch subs, 5 channel amp, and new Sony display as well as a rear back up camera in my Ram 1500 a great experience. I came in with my own old equipment and they helped me understand what I wanted in my truck to sound wouldn’t be what I would have gotten with what I brought in. I am VERY happy I decided to upgrade rather than use the old equipment I came in with. The parts we originally wanted was back ordered so they gave me upgraded parts for the same price and the customer service was top notch. They are very knowledgeable in everything related to sound and tech. They won’t try and go past what your budget is, but they will let you know what you want vs what you’ll get.

Brought in my 2018 ram for a uconnect touch screen replacement and they were all so polite and professional. They quoted me a few weeks back and it was spot on to the quote without being pushy or trying to get me into anything I didn’t need. You can tell they’re honest and passionate about what they do and they got me in on my appointment window and had me finished earlier than expected. This is a place I would recommend anyone too not only because of how nice everyone I met was but the quality of their work. I would’ve never known they were in my truck taking things apart and you can tell they work with care. Looking forward to getting a new truck this summer and will be back for some upgraded audio options when I do. Thank you for the service and I’ll be recommending you guys to my coworkers who are looking for a good audio place as well.

I had an excellent experience with Car Audio Engineers in Sacramento. Jon was great to work with. He set clear expectations, walked me through multiple options so I could make an informed decision. This was an install on a Rivian EV, and they clearly understand how touchy EVs can be compared to traditional vehicles. The work showed real proficiency with EV-specific considerations, from power management to clean signal integration, and everything was done in a minimally-invasive way. The final result is clean, hidden, and performs exactly as expected. You can tell they’re not just installing gear, but actually engineering a solution that makes sense for the vehicle. Highly recommend them if you want the job done right, especially if you’re bringing them an EV!

Went in one day looking to upgrade my wife’s stock radio 2015 Subaru Forester to a modern touchscreen with CarPlay. Jonathan was very knowledgeable and helped me select the right upgrade for her car. The pricing was fair since I included Maestro controls for the steering wheel and he walked through the installation and said parts would take a few weeks so we scheduled the install a month after I went in. Next month comes along and the install was quick. Jonathan walked me through the new features, where they installed the microphone for voice controls, and how to use the new backup camera display. Great service, excellent follow up, and a great quality of life upgrade for my wife. Will be going here for my future car audio and dashcam installs in the future.

Based on a recommendation from another installer in the Sacramento area, I took my car to Car Audio Engineers to have an ALP (Anti-Laser Priority) system installed. The shop was clean, neat, and well-organized, which immediately gave me confidence in their work. The installation estimate I received was very reasonable, especially compared to other installers in the greater Sacramento area. Jonathan and his team did an outstanding job with the installation—there wasn’t a single scratch on the interior or exterior of my car. Everything was properly aligned and functioned exactly as expected. Given their professionalism and attention to detail, I would highly recommend Jonathan and his staff for any installation needs, whether it’s an ALP system, dash camera, stereo, or other vehicle electronics.
